In Soviet times, many girls and boys created notebooks with questions for friends. They were also called questionnaires. Such notebooks were painted in different colors, photographs and pictures were pasted into them, in general, everything possible was done to give them individuality. But the main highlight was the questions, which often had an ulterior motive.
Over the years, the need for questionnaire notebooks has disappeared, as easier ways have appeared to check your friends. Now you can create a similar survey for friends on your social network page or on your own blog. This not only makes the process easier, but also allows you to tailor the questionnaire to a specific person.
Kahoot
Price: 7 days free, then subscription for a year – 2,390 RUR
Possibilities:
- Use ready-made quizzes on any topic (subject) for different ages.
- Create and edit surveys in a short period of time in your account.
- Combine different types of questions (puzzles, tests with multiple correct answers, open questions, sequencing, etc.)
- Conduct tests remotely or in the classroom in the “here and now” mode, when children see a question on the screen and immediately answer it using a phone or computer. The teacher sends each student an individual code using which he or she enters the virtual classroom. This is a convenient feature, because children who do not want to part with their phone engage in the learning process with interest and combine business with pleasure.
- The site has a bonus mode for quick answers. The competitive mode stimulates students' interest.
- Receive results in the form of a report with diagrams. You can view the individual progress of each student and the overall performance of the class. The children themselves can also monitor their progress using a special table. And the teacher frees up his time thanks to automatic summarizing.
Note: The application is entirely in English. Those who speak the language at a basic level will need time to get to grips with the interface. Tests and surveys can be created in Russian.
In the free version, only two types of questions are available for creating tests: with one correct answer out of four and in the “true/false” format. When you purchase the advanced version, you unlock all question types and a library of millions of images that you can add to your tests to make them fun and visual.
What kind of surveys are there?
And why polls at all? They are very popular with readers and contribute to audience engagement. I talked about this when I wrote the article “How to create polls in public pages and conversations on VKontakte.” And don’t just write notes and mini-articles. This type of post will definitely add variety and refresh the content.
So, the most common types of surveys are:
- With answer options "yes" and "no".
- Questions with many detailed answers.
- With a choice of number for the answer, if the question contains images, videos or a certain number of text notes.
Therefore, my presented list implies the possibility of different formulations of the question. I will give an example based on the first version of the survey.
What's your favorite color? The theme is clear. And look at sample survey options:
- Do you like red or blue? The answers are “yes” and “no”.
- What color do you like? And you list all sorts of colors from white to black.
- Publish pictures depicting color. And in the answers, ask to choose the appropriate number.
In addition, you can make a statement without a question mark. That is, to encourage you to choose one or another option in an affirmative sentence. I think the idea is clear. In the meantime, let's move on to the list of polls.

Benefits of blogs and websites
But it is much more effective to create a poll for friends on the pages of your own blog or website. Even though the process of completing questions here will take a little longer, the benefits will still be obvious. For example:
- Unlike social media pages, the blog platform is more flexible. This will allow you to create not only a profile, but also a surrounding background. That is, you can give the desired atmosphere, and if necessary, even insert pictures with meaning.
- Another plus is the ability to create an interactive survey. So, after finishing all the questions, a person can see his result or a pleasant message.
- Many also like the fact that a blog can be tailored to a specific task. That is, you can create your own service that will fully meet the needs of its author.

Poll for friends: creation principle
So, if everything is clear about the place where the survey was created, then you should move on to the main part. After all, a regular list of questions will look quite boring and banal. Therefore, you need to come up with something brighter and more memorable so that your friends will continue to visit the created profile.
So, what should friend polls consist of? Cool tasks and unusual questions are the main components of a good survey. It is to them that the author of the questionnaire should pay attention first of all.
You should also remember that all questions must make sense. So that, after reading the answers of friends, the author could draw appropriate conclusions about them.
Creating Tests in Google Forms

- Free.
- Russified.

In our opinion: more suitable for testing adult audiences and high school students.
Our advice: Use extensions to improve the functionality of Google tests. For example: Flubaroo.

Life on a social network
In the modern world, people can easily communicate with each other using the Internet. Therefore, the easiest way is to create a poll for friends on a social network. For example, using VKontakte, Facebook or the Odnoklassniki network.
The main advantage is that you can easily notify your friends about a new survey. It is enough to attach it as news in your event feed, or send it to the right people via private message. In addition, answers to such questions come quite quickly, especially if the right person is online.
It should also be noted that there are social networks that specialize in surveys. In Russia, a striking example of such a service is a free resource called “Ask.”
