Search by date

Users should know how to find the first message on VK. Sometimes this feature is very useful. It is especially appropriate if you do not want to search for messages for a certain period of time, you need to get to the beginning of the correspondence, see where the communication began.

For this purpose, we open a dialogue with the right person. We move the mouse over the correspondence link, which is located in the search bar.

We extend this line by adding the following text – &msgid=1. Press Enter.

We go to our page in Contact. Click on the “Messages” tab, which is located on the left side of the interface.

Select the desired dialogue.

In the window that opens, click on the magnifying glass icon, which is located in the upper right corner next to the avatar of the person with whom the conversation was held.

We see that a calendar icon has appeared. Click on it.

In the window that opens, select the desired month and year, then click on the number.

After this, all messages preceding the set day are opened.

From mobile

When you access the mobile application from your phone, you will not be able to search for a message by date. This function is missing here. However, you can install, for example, Kate Mobile. Next, you will need to go into a separate correspondence, click on the vertical ellipsis, which is located in the upper right corner, and select the line “Search by date” in the list of actions that opens. Next, you need to specify the desired date and click on the “Finish” button.

Registration and profile settings

Now that you've become familiar with the features, let's move on to the registration process and setting up your profile.

Registration

To register on the starcomment service you need:

  1. Go to the official Starcomment website (using this link you can get a 100 rubles discount on the minimum tariff);
  2. Find the “Registration” tab on the top right of the website;

  1. A registration window will pop up, in which we enter your email and password. Click on the “Register” button;

  1. After this, go to the email address you provided during registration. Find the letter and follow the link to activate your account.

Connecting social network profiles

As an example, I use connecting an Instagram account.

  1. In your personal account on the left we find a tab with functions;

  1. Select the “Settings” tab;
  2. Find the “+ connect” button. Click on it;

  1. Find the “Instagram” icon. Click on it;

  1. In a new window, enter your login, password and proxy, if any. Click on the “Add account” button;

To connect an account with double authentication, disable it. After adding an account to the service, you can enable it again.

If your account appears with a confirmation checkmark, you need to click on it. If you get a password or proxy error, you need to check them and enter them again.

How to enable notifications

They are located in the task tab of the service when you have a social network account connected and the task itself has been launched. Notifications work from the very beginning and do not need to be launched, because... This is one of the main functions of the service.

Setting up where these notifications will be sent is another matter. To do this, find sections in “Settings”, as in the screenshot below:

And we choose what exactly and where it will come. The email address is considered to be the one for which registration took place. If you want to receive notifications on another one, you will have to change it in the settings.

How to add an employee

  • go to “Settings”;
  • find the “Your Team” tab;

  • Click on “Add Colleagues”. Enter the employee's email address;

  • in “Set up access”, decide what powers to give the employee;
  • When finished, click on “Ok”.

The person who has been added as an employee will receive a notification by email with a link to the main page of the site. He will have to register and in his personal account he will see the task to which he has gained access.

Search comments via SearchLikes

SearchLikes is an application with wide functionality. The program has two types of search: searching for records in photos and in groups.

The operating principle is as follows:

  • select any person;
  • on its page, click the button that suits you (search in photos);
  • here you can set a filter: guys, girls or all together;

  • then select the desired group and enter its id;

For this:

  • Go to the “All tasks” tab;
  • There we click the “+Create task” button;

  • Set the settings, filters and where you want to receive the results;

  • Click “Create task”.

The function will start monitoring the necessary entries or comments in your or someone else's profile. Any activity will be tracked and notifications will be sent to you by email, Telegram or wherever you post it.

Mentions

The function allows you to see the full list of mentions by specifying keywords. To do this, when creating a task, simply select “Mentions”, and then set the settings and filtering:

Feedback monitoring is created in the same way as regular tasks. To do this, click “Create task” and select “Reviews”:

How to prohibit comments in a VK group

To block subscribers’ access to discussing group news on the wall, go to the “Community Management” section, then select “Comments” in the right-hand column and uncheck the “Feedback” field.

When you create an affinity group, the commenting feature is enabled by default. To limit it, you need to go to “Community Management” and select “Sections” in the settings menu. The window that appears will open parameters with which you can configure the group. In particular, you need to select the “Wall” item. There are three options:

  1. Open. Every user will be able to participate in discussions under posts and send messages to the group, regardless of whether he is subscribed or not.   2. Limited. Only people with administrator status can publish posts. However, comments remain open (it is recommended to use filters).
  3. Closed. Only administrators can publish posts here, and comments are not available to subscribers.

Open but controlled comments in a group have many benefits: firstly, it is a great way to maintain feedback with subscribers, so you can find out what content they prefer; secondly, obscene expression filters and keyword filters allow you to automatically filter out unwanted messages.
