At this point, the Instamber registration page was already loading. So I decided to try another three-day trial. This time I signed up using my account: @princessrosebud2thesexxxx. Instamber is not as beautiful and intuitive as InstaRocket. On the other hand, their support team sends you response emails (more on this later). The toolbar basically consisted of buttons encouraging me to pay more money .

First, I ran a 24-hour “promotion” targeting fans of the @andrewkxxx page. The account has a huge following, based almost entirely on photos of Momo's gorgeous collie face.

Source: @andrewknххх. After 24 hours, the Instamber bot had followed 69 accounts, liked 138 posts, viewed 958 stories, and left 42 comments on my behalf.

Result? I got 8 new subscribers. Instamber tells me the conversion rate is 0.7%, although the math is a little... unclear. The new accounts that the bot has been following mean that my feed is now full of cute dog photos, and I'm not complaining. However, I can't help but wonder what kind of unpleasant interactions are happening on my account.

When I check, it turns out that Instamber mostly just leaves an excessive amount of emojis in people's regular posts. These comments don't seem plausible to me, but they worked for my 8 new subscribers.

Step 5. Go back and check bot #1

Meanwhile, my InstaRocket account, after two of my three free days, is still "pending" and showing no activity. Except I lost 8 followers.

So, I make up my mind and pay 6.5K rubles. for a personal plan for one month. But now I need to wait for the administrator to approve my order. (Still no response from support.)

Step 6. Try a second campaign with less spam

I'm very curious: is there a legitimate way to automate your Instagram interactions for growth? Using automated bots will never be legal, but perhaps there is a way to use them at least sometimes? Some hackers think this is possible. So, I'm going to do one last experiment, doing everything I can to avoid spamming and ruining my account for myself and everyone else who interacts with my dog ​​bot. This means clarifying and limiting what I allow Instamber to do.

In Settings > Actions, I uncheck the boxes until my bot is allowed to view stories and like posts. I do not allow following or commenting on posts. According to these settings, my Instagram bot will “like” 1 to 3 user posts and possibly watch their stories.

This gives potential followers four different opportunities to see my account, and it's a gentler approach because I don't do anything intrusive or overtly inauthentic, like leaving creepy emojis or following them out of the blue.
