Everything here is quite simple. If you are using the desktop version of VKontakte and want to find out your gifts, then you need to go to your profile and select the appropriate section a little below your avatar.

Here you will find out who the sender is, the date and the message.

If you need to find out this information from your phone, then go to the mobile application, go to your page and scroll the list to the left.

General facts about “Contact” gifts

But what do you need to know about the function itself? Well, firstly, it doesn’t hurt to find out where the VKontakte gifts are. There is no separate section for them, and you will not find them in the site menu. Now look carefully at the contact page of any account - the gifts are located neatly under the avatar. Click on the title and you will be taken to a page with a list of all the surprises received.

Find out who gave it privately

Only two people have the opportunity to do this: the sender himself and the recipient. Therefore, if such a gift was sent to you - by hovering italics over it, the inscription “Private” will appear - you can see its sender.

On your profile page, under your name, select an item with a suitable name from the menu.

Now in the menu on the left, open the “My” section.

In the “Received” category, find the one you need and look at the sender.

If you see the inscription “Private” on a friend’s page, you won’t be able to find out the name of his sender on your own. Alternatively, you can ask your friend directly about this.

Actions with gifts

And now another important point: confidentiality and hidden gifts. Agree, not everyone wants to show off their gifts.

And not everyone wants to give something to someone openly. Therefore, the VK system allows you to manage privacy settings for both recipients and senders.

And there are several options here:

the sender's name is visible to everyone;
only the recipient will know who sent the gift;
you remain completely anonymous.

So, if you want to hide the name even from the recipient, choose the third option.
