All that remains is to decide whether you need to see the updates of these people, are they interesting to you? If yes, then leave everything unchanged. If not, then you can simply unsubscribe from these people’s news.
How to unfollow an unwanted friend
In the section of requests coming from you, you can see those users who did not respond to your friend request, but left you as subscribers. In your news feed, you can see the photos they add, notes they share, and more. Unfollowing these people is very simple: click the “Cancel request” button under the photo.

So you won’t be able to completely close yourself off from non-friends without blacklisting them, as was possible before.
So the only sure way to remove VK subscribers is to blacklist them. But this method is quite radical (the person will no longer be able to communicate with you at all) and labor-intensive.
